The Sick Game

1/31/2013

The day before heading down to Flagstaff AZ, I got a nasty head cold. Flying with a head cold is never fun on the ears.

I can’t call in sick. Who would I call?

Whit: Hey Joe, would you mind filling in for me tomorrow I don’t feel too well.

Joe: Sure what will I be doing?

Whit: Oh, the halftime show at Northern Arizona. You just juggle three basketballs, dribble them, and shoot them. Joe and while you are at it, it would be great if you could do it all while riding a unicycle.

Joe: uh …..

The show must go on, sick or not sick. I loaded myself up with cold medicine and performed. It was my first experience performing while sick… and it went awesome. It was a perfect show with no mistakes!!!

Here are some great pictures from the game:

I just started creating a new elementary school assembly. It is called Just Bounce. I will be performing on the unicycle and juggling while delivering powerful messages.

It inspires students to Bounce Up to reach high goals with hard work, Bounce Out of negative situations involving drugs, alcohol,  and bullying, and Bounce back from anything that makes them feel "flat".
