“We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility."

I am constantly making small benchmark goals to beat. One of the challenges I have is to get a lot better on the unicycle. I am practicing idling and I am counting how many times I can idle without losing my balance. I idle with my left foot down and I am feeling pretty confident in my skills. I reached a new benchmark in my idling. I idled 1,000 times without losing balance and I stop, not because I fell, but because my left calf felt like it was on fire.
Feeling pretty confident about myself I went outside to show off my new skills to my wife. She watched me as I got up on my unicycle in the carport. I began showing her my skills when my foot slipped off the pedal causing me to fall landing mainly on my elbow and hip. That was the worst fall I have experience. I guess I need to work on my showing off skills.
